Dr Federica D'Asta

Dr Federica D'Asta is a dedicated Consultant Paediatric Surgeon specialising in paediatric burn surgery, scar management, and laser therapy. She provides compassionate, patient-centred care to infants, children, and young people recovering from thermal injuries, surgical procedures, and trauma. Her clinical practice focuses on improving function, appearance, and long-term quality of life through individualised treatment plans.

Dr D'Asta earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Florence before completing specialist surgical training in Paediatric Surgery. She later expanded her academic and clinical research expertise by obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) from the University of Birmingham. She is listed on the Specialist Register for Paediatric Surgery with the General Medical Council and serves as a University Lecturer, contributing actively to medical education and scientific research.

Her areas of clinical interest include advanced non-invasive scar assessment, scar revision, and laser interventions for burn, surgical, and traumatic scars.
