Dr Fazal Sheikh

Dr Fazal Sheikh is a Consultant Rheumatologist working in Surrey and Greater London.

He completed his general medical rotations at various hospitals across England and completed GP training in South West London after which, he undertook Rheumatology specialty training in Wales at the Peter Maddison Rheumatology Centre and the University Hospitals of Wales, Cardiff. During this time, he participated in research in collaboration with the Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences (SSHES), Bangor University and developed an interest in MSK ultrasound in Rheumatology. He undertook ultrasound training at the Peter Maddison Rheumatology Centre and Croydon University Hospitals and completed the CASE Accredited Focused Ultrasound course in Rheumatoid Arthritis from Canterbury University.

He is co-author in multiple publications including publications regarding Rheumatoid Cachexia and ultrasound features in early arthritis.

He is currently working as a Consultant Rheumatologist at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. He has a special interest in Inflammatory arthritis and is the current Early Inflammatory Arthritis for the department.

He is also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at St Georges University of London and the named undergraduate faculty lead and GP trainee supervisor for Rheumatology at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals.
