Dr Farha Fatima

Dr Farha Fatima is a consultant gynaecologist practising at Albyn Hospital. She has been a practising consultant since 2017 within NHS Grampian and holds an honorary senior lecturer position with the University of Aberdeen. Before taking up her consultant post, she completed her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Aberdeen.

Dr Fatima has a special interest in treating women with menstrual disturbances, pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, vaginal surgery, and postmenopausal bleeding problems. Her operative expertise includes performing laparoscopic benign gynaecology surgeries and open hysterectomies. She is dedicated to providing high-quality care and helping women manage a range of gynaecological conditions.

Dr Fatima is actively involved in medical education and training. She works closely with medical students and serves as an Educational Supervisor for trainees in obstetrics and gynaecology in Elgin and Aberdeen. Her commitment to education reflects her dedication to advancing the field of gynaecology through teaching and mentorship.

Dr Fatima’s clinical practice focuses on conditions such as postmenopausal bleeding, menstrual disturbance, pelvic pain, prolapse, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and endometriosis. She also offers consultations and treatments for a range of gynaecological procedures, including abdominal hysterectomy, anterior repair surgery, cervical screening, diagnostic laparoscopy, endometrial ablation, hysteroscopy, laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy, laparoscopic sterilisation, laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis, laparoscopy for gynaecological conditions, treatment for menorrhagia, oophorectomy, pelvic ultrasound, vaginal prolapse repair, vaginal ultrasound, and treatment for vulval disease.

Dr Fatima is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the British Medical Association. She is committed to delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to her patients, using the latest advancements in gynaecological practice.
