Dr Emma Carrington

Dr Emma Carrington is a experienced Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London. She also sees private patients at the London Digestive Centre and The Princess Grace Hospital.

Dr Carrington's academic journey began at Imperial College London, where she obtained both her Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration and medical degree in 2002 and 2004 respectively. She later completed her Master’s (MSc) degree in Surgical Innovation from Imperial College London in 2007 and in 2016, she completed her PhD in Neurogastroenterology at Queen Mary, University of London.

As an academic consultant colorectal surgeon, Dr Carrington possesses a wealth of experience and specialised knowledge in pelvic floor disorders, neurogastroenterology, and inflammatory bowel disease. Her clinical practice is characterised by a patient-centred approach, where she combines cutting-edge surgical techniques with a compassionate demeanour to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each individual's needs.
