Dr Elin Evans

Dr Elin Evans is a highly respected Consultant Clinical Oncologist who specialises in the non-surgical management of head and neck cancers as well as urological malignancies. Working closely within multidisciplinary teams, she provides compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to the individual needs of each patient. Dr Evans is dedicated to delivering comprehensive oncological management that combines the latest therapeutic advances with a reassuring, patient-centred approach.

Dr Evans completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Wales College of Medicine. Demonstrating a strong commitment to academic medicine and translational research, she earned her PhD in 2001 for her scientific investigation into immune responses to Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in patients with cervical cancer. She was subsequently awarded an Honorary Visiting Professorship in 2016 in recognition of her ongoing contributions to cancer research. Throughout her distinguished career, Dr Evans has held prominent academic and research leadership roles, including serving as Deputy Chair of a national radiotherapy research group and as Associate Medical Director for Research, Development, and Innovation.

In her clinical practice, Dr Evans focuses on evaluating and implementing refined treatment strategies aimed at minimising treatment-related side effects while maintaining optimal therapeutic outcomes. She acts as Chief Investigator for multiple multicentre clinical trials designed to develop kinder, highly effective interventions for patients with head and neck tumours. Her clinical expertise encompasses advanced radiotherapy planning and systemic anti-cancer therapies, ensuring patients receive state-of-the-art oncology care throughout their treatment journey.
