Dr Edson Nogueira

Dr Edson Nogueira is a substantive consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and General Medicine. Dr Nogueira looks after patients within all aspects of Endocrinology and Diabetes. Their expertise includes diseases affecting the adrenal glands, endocrine hypertension, obesity, diabetes, and hypercholesterolaemia. They are a core member of multiple endocrine and diabetes MDTs. Dr Nogueira is the current lead for the Hypertension services.

Dr Nogueira received their medical degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil). They began their specialist training in endocrinology at the Medical College of Georgia – USA, being awarded a PhD with Distinction. Dr Nogueira continued to advance their studies in the United Kingdom as a post-doctoral clinical endocrine researcher at the University of Birmingham – UK. They completed their endocrinology clinical training in London, working initially at Barts Health NHS Trust, and later at Imperial College London.
