Dr Josh Pomroy

Dr Josh Pomroy is a Consultant Endocrinologist, Diabetologist, and General Physician with 15 years of specialist clinical experience. He holds a substantive NHS post at Croydon University Hospital and practises privately at Shirley Oaks Hospital. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Leeds in 2006 and completed his higher specialist training within the North West London Imperial College programme.

Dr Pomroy assesses and manages all aspects of general diabetes and endocrinology. He holds specific clinical expertise in thyroid conditions, managing Graves’ disease, thyroid eye disease, and radioiodine treatment for benign thyroid disease. Within his NHS trust, he has modernised dynamic endocrine testing pathways to ensure evidence-based diagnostics. He also leads clinical service developments in diabetes technology, expanding patient access to insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM).

A Member of the Royal College of Physicians, Dr Pomroy holds specialist certification in Diabetes and Endocrinology. He regularly publishes and presents research at national clinical forums, including Diabetes UK and the Pituitary Clinicopathological Conference.
