Dr Duncan Field is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist who provides comprehensive cardiac care for patients presenting with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Committed to delivering reassuring, evidence-based, and patient-centred treatment, he evaluates and manages individuals experiencing symptoms such as chest pain, heart failure, and complex cardiac arrhythmias. Dr Field works closely with each patient to establish precise diagnoses and tailored management plans aimed at improving heart health and long-term quality of life.

With extensive clinical expertise in electrophysiology and device therapy, Dr Field specialises in advanced cardiac device implantation and management. His sub-speciality interests encompass the insertion, follow-up, and extraction of complex cardiac devices, including permanent pacemakers, subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy defibrillators. In addition, Dr Field provides specialist care in cardiac rhythm management, offering catheter ablation procedures to correct irregular heart rhythms.

Dr Field completed higher clinical training focused on arrhythmia management, ablation, and complex device techniques, supplemented by a one-year international fellowship in Auckland, New Zealand. Alongside his clinical practice, he is actively engaged in medical education, regularly proctoring and delivering surgical skills training courses for advanced device implantation to healthcare professionals internationally.
