Dr Firoozi graduated from Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals Medical School in 1995 and trained in cardiology at a number of London teaching hospitals. He gained a British Heart Foundation Fellowship in 1999, which enabled him to undertake clinical research on heart muscle disease and sports cardiology at St George's University of London.
Dr Firoozi underwent general and interventional cardiology training, including an interventional cardiology fellowship at St George's Hospital, between 2002 and 2008. In 2009, he was appointed as a consultant general and interventional cardiologist. He is particularly interested in high-risk coronary intervention and structural heart intervention, such as TAVI. He has built a high-volume interventional practice and regularly sees a large number of patients.
Dr Firoozi is also active in higher medical education for undergraduate and postgraduate students and has conducted training courses. He is a member of the British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) and the British Cardiac Interventional Society (BCIS), as well as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.

Dr Firoozi fitted two stents in an artery for me four years ago . I was suffering from angina. I no longer have any symptoms of angina. I have total confidence in Dr Firoozi and consider myself extremely lucky to be looked after by him. 13 years ago he saved my husbands life by discovering that he had blocked arteries and that he was in danger of an imminent heart attack. Dr Firoozi organised for my husband to have immediate surgery . After a quadruple bypass he was once again a fit man able to enjoy life. As a family we are all indebted to Dr Firoozi for the wonderful care he had taken of us. He has made it possible for us to continue to enjoy life into old age. We are now 91 and 88.

I saw Dr Firoozi at The New Victoria Hospital. He was extremely approachable and efficient. He took time to hear my history and explained the investigations I would require.

Dr Firoozi looked after both of my parents - and now me. I find him very methodical in his diagnosis process and very clear with explanations for any tests and results. He has a good, personal approach and takes time for reassurances.
Dr Firoozi was excellent. He is clearly on top of all the latest treatments and medical science. His clinic is run efficiently and with compassion.
Dr. Firoozi has been absolutely outstanding in caring for my mother. His quick action and expertise led to her being referred for a TAVI procedure, which has completely transformed her health. He is not only an excellent heart specialist but also a kind and reassuring doctor who truly listens. We are deeply grateful for everything he has done.
