A routine scan showed I had a calcium level of 1600 (!) in my coronary arteries and my private GP referred me to Dr Firoozi whom, he said, was the best. I did my own research with a number of senior doctor friends and heard similar stories. When I met him, Dr Firoozi immediately put me at ease, explaining that the coronary score was not a linear scale and that the only way to really see what was happening in my arteries was to undertake an angiogram. This he and his team did at the Harley St Clinic about a week later with a minimum of fuss. I was extremely nervous about the procedure but he and the anaesthetist dialled-up the sedation and it was a breeze!. It turns out that there is only one mild build up of plaque, and that my condition can be managed by medication alone. Throughout my dealings with him he was very reassuring and he has performed countless angiograms and other heart procedures. I could not be happier that he was recommended to me
