About Dr Venura Samarasinghe
Dr Samarasinghe is a Consultant Dermatologist, Dermatological Surgeon and Dermatological Lead for skin cancer. They qualified from the University of Manchester in 2002 and undertook Dermatology specialist training in the Northwest of England Dermatology programme.
Following this, Dr Samarasinghe completed a further one year fellowship in Mohs micrographic and dermatological surgery at St John's Institute of Dermatology, London. Dr Samarasinghe has completed multiple international scientific trials on skin cancer. They have lectured nationally and internationally on skin cancer, skin surgery and dermatology for which they have received awards.
Dr Samarasinghe has also published widely on skin cancer and has sat on the national joint Dermatology-Plastic Surgery Integrated Fellowship board.
