Dr Tanya Basu is a consultant Dermatologist with an NHS practice at King's College
Hospital, London and private practice HCA London Bridge Hospital at The Shard.
She has an interest in general dermatological problems such as acne, rosacea,
eczema, psoriasis, urticaria, benign and malignant skin lesions; she performs
mole checks and skin cancer treatment. She has a special interest in
haemato-oncology and dermatological disorders of haematological disease, and
runs a dedicated clinic for patients with graft versus host disease.
Dr Basu has a Natural Sciences MA degree from the University of Cambridge and a
PhD in cancer biology with Cancer Research UK. She was awarded a Foulkes
Foundation Fellowship to complete her medical training at Imperial College
School of Medicine and was proxime accessit to the University of London Gold
Medal.
She trained in Dermatology in London at King's College Hospital and Chelsea and
Westminster Hospital, gaining the Hugh Wallace RSM Dermatology Prize. Dr Basu
is a board member and former President of the British Society of Skin care for the Immunocompromised
Individual (BSSCII). Her research work has been published in journals
such as Nature and The Lancet.
