He continued his training in North West London, taking two years to research novel diagnostic techniques for early cancer detection at Imperial College London.
In 2014, Dr. Ralphs started his role as a consultant in Colchester. He has held the position of Clinical Lead for Endoscopy since 2015 and became the Clinical Director of the North Essex Bowel Cancer Screening Centre in 2017. His work focuses on improving patient experiences and delivering high-quality care in endoscopic procedures.

Dr Ralphs performed 2 oesophageal dilatations over a few months and the results have been excellent. I was told a few horror stories about the procedure by friends and family but these couldn’t be further from the truth. Dr Ralphs and the team at Oaks do a great job of reducing the anxiety around such a procedure.
