Dr. Paramothayan has a degree in Medical Biochemistry and a PhD from the Univeristy of Cambridge. She studied Medicine at St. Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School, University of London. She completed her Postgraduate training in 2001 having worked in several leading hospitals, including St. George's Hospital and the Royal Brompton Hospital. She subsequently completed the Masters in Medical Education from the Royal Colleage of Physicians and UCL and the Masters in Medicolegal Law from the University of Cardiff. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a Fellow of the Higher Edducation Academy.
