About Dr Scott Takeda
Dr Scott Takeda is a dedicated Consultant Cardiologist, seeing private patients at KIMS Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital with over 31 years of experience. He completed his medical degree at the University of London in 1992, followed by his specialist training in Cardiology and General Internal Medicine, receiving the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2006. In 2011, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London.
In his current clinical practice, Dr Takeda sees patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions, including chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, dizziness or blackouts, heart murmurs, and atrial fibrillation (AF). Dr Takeda's additional areas of expertise include cardiac imaging and echocardiography, with which he played a pivotal role in developing the stress echo service at Maidstone Hospital and established CT coronary angiography at the new Tunbridge Wells Hospital. Alongside these, he has also contributed in the area of cardiac pacing, having developed the complex device service, including ICDs and biventricular pacemakers, at Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells.

I have had a number of health issues in recent months so it was encouraging that Dr Takeda went into detail on each health aspect to consider if any had an impact upon my possible cardiac issues. Too often I have experienced consultants who ignore other possible factors outside their specialism that may have an impact! Dr Takeda was very thorough in his analysis including what choices were available to confirm a final diagnosis.At all times I felt he communicated in lay man's terms so that I could completely comprehend and felt part of the discussion. I can't recommend Dr Takeda highly enough and would fully recommend his services.
A follow up appointment to assess if the medication change was having the desired effect... it was and I left very happy.
I arrived with my daughter. It was my first consultation with Dr Takeda. We were early and Dr Takeda was able to see us a few minutes early which was very pleasing for us. We were with him for about 50 minutes but that did include an Echocardiogram which he performed himself. In less than 1 week he sent my results to my GP, copied to me. It was 3 pages long and very detailed. I was very impressed with the close attention I received from Dr Takeda. I have seen quite a few doctors in my 76 years and in my opinion he is up there with the best.
I was really nervous but I need not have been as everything went smoothly.
Excellent and extremely pleasant and forthright . Highly recommended as far as I am concerned.. Just what any patient would require.
