Dr Rupak Moitra

Dr Rupak Moitra is a consultant rheumatologist and general physician currently practising at The North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at the Kennedy Institute for Rheumatology before completing his MBBS at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in London. Dr. Moitra then pursued higher specialist training in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine between London and Wessex.

Dr Moitra's clinical practice covers all areas of adult Rheumatology, including complex inflammatory musculoskeletal disease, osteoporosis and soft tissue rheumatism. 

He has been the clinical lead for osteoporosis and bone health in the trust for the past 20 years and sits on the SHIP (Southampton, Hampshire, Isle of Wight & Portsmouth) Bone Health Committee, which regularly updates Osteoporosis Guidelines for the region. 

Dr Moitra also works as a general physician, participating in the general medical take, and has responsibility for medical inpatients. He has GIM admitting privileges for The Hampshire Clinic and The Candover Suite.
