Dr Richard Marley, Consultant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist, works at the Princess Grace Hospital and is part of the London Digestive Centre and the Physicians' Clinic.

He is highly specialised in general gastroenterology and hepatology, as well as a performing colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and endoscopy.

Dr Marley graduated from the University of Oxford with a BSc in Medicine and Surgery, before going on to complete his postgraduate training at the Royal Free Hospital and the Hammersmith Hospital. During his training, he also undertook a research degree focusing on the haemodynamic consequences of cirrhosis, resulting in him being awarded a PhD for his work. He was later appointed to Consultant in 2001 at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Australia.

My experience with Dr Marley yesterday was very satisfactory. He listened to me and explained carefully the problem and how it should be dealt with. I was impressed that any medications that he suggested were all natural and obtainable from a health food shop.
