Dr Philip Yoong

Dr Philip Yoong is a Consultant Radiologist practising at Spire Dunedin Hospital, the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and Berkshire Imaging, where he sees patients at The Forbury Clinic in Reading. He has a specialist interest in musculoskeletal radiology and image-guided musculoskeletal intervention.

He graduated from University College London Medical School in 2002 and undertook general surgical training at Ipswich Hospital, achieving Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in 2005. He went on to complete his general radiology training at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, gaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2012.

In 2013–2014, Dr Yoong completed a full-time musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. He was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2014, where he continues to practise alongside his private work. His clinical expertise includes diagnostic imaging such as CT, MRI, ultrasound and X-ray, as well as interventional procedures including epidural injections, facet joint injections, sacroiliac joint injections, selective nerve root blocks, intra-articular injections, platelet-rich plasma and autologous blood injections, steroid injections, trigger point injections and ultrasound-guided injections.

He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education and is a member of the European Society of Radiology.
