About Dr Paul Cauchi
Dr. Paul Cauchi is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with over two decades of experience in ophthalmology. He graduated from the Royal Free Hospital, University of London, in 1996, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, who was also an ophthalmologist. His career has seen him undergo extensive training in both England and Scotland, where he honed his skills in general ophthalmology, oculoplastics (eyelid surgery), orbital surgery (eye socket surgery), and ocular oncology (eye cancer).
His subspecialties include oculoplastic surgery, lacrimal surgery, and orbital surgery. The ocular oncology service he leads is the only one of its kind in Scotland, offering care for patients with eye cancer.
In addition to his NHS role, Dr. Cauchi has been a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Nuffield Health since 2009, where he provides general ophthalmic services, including cataract surgery and oculoplastic procedures for conditions such as entropion, ectropion, and ptosis.
Dr. Cauchi has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists since 2002. He is a member of The British Oculoplastic Surgical Society and The International Society of Ocular Oncology.
