About Dr Patrick McGowan
Dr Patrick McGowan is a Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Management specialist. Dr McGowan qualified in medicine in 1988. Dr McGowan undertook further training in the North West of England and London. Dr McGowan also spent time in Texas, USA as a visiting associate professor and pain fellow. Dr McGowan is a member of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
Dr McGowan specialises in the management of all types of chronic pain. They have a particular interest in the management of back pain, neuropathic pain, cancer pain and head and neck pain.
Dr McGowan has presented at a number of national and international meetings on the subject of chronic pain.
