About Dr Nearchos Hadjiloizou
Dr Nearchos Hadjiloizou is a consultant cardiologist based at West Herts Hospitals and Imperial College Healthcare NHS. He was the clinical lead in cardiology and now leads the structural heart disease and chest pain service at West Herts..
He has expertise in coronary intervention (PCI) and TAVI procedures and works within the 24/7 Heart Attack Primary PCI programme at Hammersmith Hospital, where he subspecialises in coronary intervention and structural heart disease.
Dr Hajiloizou is able to provide advice and management for all cardiology problems, including the following:
- Angina,
- Valve disease,
- Hypertension,
- Palpitations, Atrial fibrillation and arrhythmia,
- Breathlessens and Heart Failure.
- PCI and TAVI
Dr Hajiloizou gained his medical qualification from University College London and undertook training on the London North West rotation. He was awarded a BHF fellowiship and completed a PhD at Imperial College focusing on coronary haemodynamics. His work was subsequently published in peer-reviewed journals, and he was awarded prizes, including the international young investigator award.
