Dr Nap Cheung is a highly experienced Rheumatologist. They graduated from The Sheffield Medical School in 1985. After completing their general medical training at King's College Hospital, Dr Cheung moved to Birmingham to begin specialist training in rheumatology. Dr Cheung was awarded a three-year Haywood Foundation clinical research fellowship at the Staffordshire Rheumatology Centre. Their research investigated the role of specific proteins in joint inflammation and its connection to common arthritis. In 2000, Dr Cheung received a doctorate in medicine for their thesis. The thesis was based on original work looking at serum pro-metalloproteinase 3, a potential marker of synovial inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis.
