About Dr Naheed Khan

Dr Naheed Khan is a Consultant Neurologist with extensive experience in adult neurological conditions.

She qualified from Cambridge University and completed her Neurology training at leading  national and international institutions including The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, UCLH, and King's College Hospital. Dr Khan also holds a PhD in Parkinson's disease from the Institute of Neurology at the Institute of Neurology, UCL, University of London.

Her practice encompasses a wide spectrum of neurological conditions, such as headache and brain fog, blackouts and epilepsy (including intractable epilepsy), memory decline, dizzy spells and vertigo, as well as twitching, cramps, weakness, numbness, and tingling.

Dr Khan is a recognised expert in the diagnosis and management of Parkinson's disease, other tremor disorders, atypical parkinsonian syndromes (MSA, PSP, CBS), dystonias, ataxia, and chorea. She leads a tertiary service specialising in Parkinson's disease and Movement disorders, and a regional botulinum toxin service for head and neck dystonia, hemi-facial spasm, hyperhidrosis, and salivary pooling. Dr Khan is also the lead Neurologist for the Kent Neuro-Oncology service.

Dr Khan serves as a Consultant Neurologist at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and previously, at King's College Hospital, London. She chairs the annual South East Parkinson’s disease and Dementia Forum, lectures both regionally and internationally, and sits on the editorial board of the journal Medicine (Elsevier).

Dr Khan volunteers on humanitarian Neurosurgical missions to a conflict zone with a prominent British international NGO.

I went to see Dr Khan after my symptoms were dismissed by a GP, however Dr Khan took them seriously and sent me for testing which came back that I did have a health condition which needs surgery. Thanks to her this was picked up. Everything was explained and I feel reassured that everything will be ok.
