About Professor Karthik Ramasamy
Dr. Ramasamy undertook his general medical training in Nottingham, followed by early haematology training at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Subsequently moved to London in 2002 and undertook a comprehensive haematology training programme encompassing all subspecialties of haematology, including bone marrow transplantation at Kings College Hospital. After this, he completed three years as a clinical research fellow at Kings College London in cancer studies; pursuing his interest in cancer research. He now practices across both Oxford University Hospital NHS trust and Royal Berkshire in Haematology.
Dr. Ramasamy is the myeloma lead for Thames Valley Cancer network. He is a Chief Investigator of UK multicentre trials and has published more than 150 peer-reviewed articles and written chapters in haemato-oncology textbooks; continuing his passion for research and ensuring he is abreast of the newest information and cutting edge technologies to offer his patients the best possible diagnosis and treatment.
