Dr Jurjees Hasan

Dr Jurjees Hasan graduated in India following which he moved to the UK to undertake his specialist training. Dr Hasan's subspecialty interests include gynaecological malignancies, colorectal cancer and carcinoma of the unknown primary site. He is the lead medical oncologist for gynaecological malignancies and covers the southern sector of the Greater Manchester Cancer Network.

He also has developed a chemotherapy service for colorectal cancers. Dr Hasan has served as principal investigator in phase ll and phase all studies of both ovarian and colorectal cancer and in investigator-led studies at The Christie.

He also maintains an interest in translational research into the development of new strategies for the management of malignant bowel obstruction, tumour angiogenesis, circulating biomarkers of angiogenesis and the development of anti-angiogenic therapies for cancer. Dr Hasan's work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international oncology meetings. He also referees manuscripts for publication in oncology journals.
