Dr James Shelley

I trained to be a doctor at Guy's and St. Thomas's Medical School in London qualifying in 1997. I spent some time as ship's surgeon amongst other generalist medical training posts. I undertook specialist dermatology training at St. John's Institute in London, King's College Hospital, and in Southampton and I undertook fellowship training in Mohs and skin cancer management in Newcastle. I became a consultant at Chelsea and Westminster hospital in 2010, where I have worked since, including being Service Director for the Dermatology department 2019-2022. I am a Senior lecturer for Imperial College, where I am in charge of the dermatology undergraduate course. I undertake most of my private consultations at The Cromwell Hospital in Kensington and One Welbeck in Marylebone.
