Dr James Harrison shows clear, reassuring, and thorough qualities in his patient interactions. He provides full explanations of diagnostic test procedures, covering echocardiograms, ECGs, and CT coronary angiograms. This helps patients understand conditions such as high blood pressure, palpitations, and atrial fibrillation. Dr Harrison's professional, knowledgeable, and approachable manner builds patient comfort and confidence, delivering effective treatment and positive outcomes. Patients report diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, ECGs, and CT coronary angiograms, and the management of high blood pressure and irregular heartbeat, as major themes.
I was sent for a follow up following a senior management corporate health check, with a couple of strange results from a test. Dr Harrison explained clearly to me what they were, explained how the tests would be undertaken, what he prescribed, and dealt calmly and helpfully with my stupid questions on discharge (partner laughing at me, I am from an arts and legal background, medicine a complete mystery....).
It was a pleasure to meet Dr Harrison and he put me at ease immediately. He asked clear questions for me to explain my situation and then carried out various tests efficiently and quickly. He was able to explain to me in straightforward terms what was happening and I left with a clear understanding of my medical condition. Dr Harrison was calm, reassuring and very professional.
Dr Harrison was a thorough and professional chap with a very good bedside manner and who articulated my issues in a way I could understand. He also gave me the opportunity to ask questions if needed.
Thank you so much Dr Harrison for the appointment and all the tests you carried out for a Heart concern that I had (ECG, Echocardiogram, 24hr BP, CT Coronary Angiogram). You explained everything clearly, directly, in such a professional, calm and caring manner that I understood everything. You had such a lovely manner answering my questions, which put me at ease, I greatly appreciated that. I have taken on board all your guidance following all the tests and results, and will make every effort to keep in good health. I felt overwhelming calmness and relief when I heard the results. I feel incredibly lucky to have been in your care, you are the ultimate professional and it was lovely to have met you. Everyone that I met along the way during the Tests were amazing (Fatima, Louis, Dr Gu, Raya, Stephen and Hannah), all truly caring and kind. I will have no hesitation in recommending you Dr Harrison, to anyone who may need to see a Cardiologist. Thank you so much again for everything.
Mr Harrison was kind and easy to talk to. He explained everything in such a clear way. He made me feel very comfortable during my visit.
I would happily recommend Dr Harrison. He is obviously knowledgeable and confident in his area of specialism. His approach is clear, concise and down to earth. His manner is professional, friendly and reassuring. In addition, his PA, Hannah is highly organised and responsive.
I don’t know if it’s weird to say, but I’ve had a lot of fun whilst checking through my health situation. All of Dr Harrison’s team were also really great. Whilst informing me of my health situation, we also had a lot of great conversations about life in general. I’d quite happily meet them all socially too - always a good way to have a relationship with those providing your health support
Very approachable and professional. Provided clear explanation of diagnosis
He carried a very detail examination and was very clear on what was going to take place and very clear on the results obtained for the various tests.
I had met with Dr Harrison before and on all occasions found him to be easy to understand and reassuring. He laid out the options available to me and helped guide me in a treatment plan. The treatment plan was to begin with an appointment at the AF clinic at the PRU on 14.04.26. Unfortunately l have just been advised today that this appointment has now been moved to 14.07.26.
James is a leading cardiologist that will always pay attention to detail and will always ensure his patients will receive the highest quality of care. I would very strongly recommend him with no reservations.
