Dr Ingrid Wilson

Dr. Ingrid Wilson has been a GP since 1999. Working as a GP, it was clear to her that most UK GPs have only one week of training in skin and hair before they qualify. With her passion in this area, she supplemented her training by completing the 2 year Trichology Course with the Institute of Trichologists gaining a distinction in both years, testament to her excellence and dedication. She was also awarded the John Mason Memorial Prize for Excellence in her first year, which is only awarded when there is a ‘candidate of high enough calibre to merit it'.

In addition to her busy practice, Dr. Wilson has examined and consulted at the Institute of Trichologists' Clinic in London and also gained further experience helping patients with hair loss independently, including at a branch of The Private Clinic of Harley Street. Further to this, she is widely published, having written articles on hair loss for a range of audiences and spoken at various events, and also a podcast with The Doctors Kitchen #69 Eat for your Hair, with Dr Ingrid Wilson | The Doctor's Kitchen (thedoctorskitchen.com) . She remains a practising GP too, keeping abreast of all aspects of medicine including her specialist interest in aesthetics and hairloss. She is also a member of the Primary Care Dermatology Society and a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health.

Dr. Wilson is additionally a specialist in the hair processing techniques in Afro-textured hair which has different requirements to European/Asian hair. In addition to her hair loss treatment, Dr. Wilson is also interest in dermatological issues including skin pigmentation, acne, rosacea and wrinkles and has a number of treatment options for patients with these issues at her clinic.
