Dr. Ian Beasley is a highly experienced Sports Medicine Specialist who brings specialist expertise to his practice. Dr. Beasley embarked on his medical journey at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, where he graduated in 1982. During his time as a student, he demonstrated his passion for sports and leadership by serving as Student Union Secretary, Football Club Captain, and engaging in various student committees.
Dr. Beasley's commitment to sports medicine led him to pursue further studies. In 1986, he earned a scholarship to study Sports Medicine in London and successfully obtained his diploma with merit the following year. His dedication didn't stop there—he obtained his MSc in 1997 and played a pivotal role as a foundation fellow of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine.
Dr. Beasley's expertise goes beyond traditional sports medicine. He holds a Certificate in Ultrasound Scanning from the School of Medical Ultrasound in Bournemouth, adding an extra layer of specialisation to his skill set. He has worked in all four leagues of professional football in England, including five EPL teams. He was Head of Medical Services for the Football Assn, and led the medical department of the England senior men's team at FIFA World Cups, and UEFA European Championships. He was medical advisor to the Royal Ballet Company for almost 20 years, and was CMO for England and Great Britaion Hockey at Olympic Games, World Cups, and European Championships. He was selected to work with the British Olympic Assn at London 2012. He has recently been appointed course director for the UEFA Football Doctors Education Programme for 2026.
His primary areas of interest include sports injuries and conducting thorough sports physical examinations. With his extensive background in both medical and sports-related fields, Dr. Ian Beasley is well-equipped to provide comprehensive care and expert guidance to individuals dealing with sports-related concerns.
