About Dr Hari Jayaram
Dr Hari Jayaram is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and Clinician-Scientist based at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where he is the Director of the Glaucoma Service, with an honorary academic appointment as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Ophthalmology, University College London. He has a specialist interest in glaucoma, with expertise in the medical, laser and surgical management of adult glaucoma including minimally invasive glaucoma procedures, including complex and secondary glaucomas, as well as cataract surgery, especially in patients with glaucoma.
Dr Jayaram served as Vice-Chair of the City Road & Hampstead Research Ethics Committee (Institutional Review Board) from 2007-2014 and obtained a Masters Degree with Distinction in Clinical Trials from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in 2017, being awarded the University of London Centenary Award. He current serves as Chair of the Research Management Committee and and Director of the Glaucoma Service at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
Dr Jayaram is an Editorial Board Member for several scientific journals (Translational Vision Science and Technology, Current Eye Research, Frontiers in Medicine). He was a vice-chair of the program planning committee for the World Glaucoma Congress hosted by the World Glaucoma Association and is co-organiser of the annual Moorfields International Glaucoma Symposium.
