Dr Geeta Belgi

Dr Belgi is a Consultant Dermatologist and Cutaneous Surgeon at University Hospital Southampton. She has done her Dermatology training at Southampton and Portsmouth (Wessex region). Following this she undertook an advanced surgical fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery at the prestigious Mohs centre in Portsmouth.

She has a wide interest and skills in diagnosis and management of skin cancers and Mohs micrographic surgery for treatment of skin cancers. She also has a keen interest in management of inflammatory skin conditions, eczema, psoriasis, hair and nail disorders, acne and biological therapies. Skin cancer surgery and Mohs micrographic surgery undertaken in several hospital locations including University Hospital Southampton.

Dr Belgi is actively involved in teaching nurses, post graduates, specialist registrars, General Practitioners and General Practitioners with special interest in dermatology.

Her research interests include studying mechanisms of drug hypersensitivity reactions and developing rapid diagnostic tests for management of drug reactions. Her research work has been published in various journals.
