About Dr Debasis Majumdar
Dr Debasis Majumdar is a leading gastroenterologist specialising in colon cancer, colonic polyps, endoscopy, colonoscopy, pancreatobiliary medicine, ERCP, and endosonography.
Dr Majumdar received his MBBS from the University of Calcutta in 1996 before gaining an MD in internal medicine in 2002. He then went on to study polyp monitoring in the NHS bowel cancer screening program and achieved another MD for his work from Durham University. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2019.
Dr Majumdar is passionate about medical education and conducts endoscopic training and lectures at national training courses. He is also a JAG-accredited trainer (Joint Advisory Group) for OGD (oesophago-gastro-duodenoscopy), colonoscopy, ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), and EUS (endoscopic ultrasound).
Dr Majumdar has a long history of publication in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and the Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He has also been invited to give both national and international presentations.

I saw Dr Debasis Majumdar a handful of times over a 6 month period or so to help diagnose some on going health issues I have. He's very personable and has a great manner. He explained things very well and never did I feel rushed when asking questions or for further information. He took the time to explain everything in great detail and answered questions in a considerate and informative manner. A very professional and decent doctor for sure.
