Dr Christopher McNamara

Dr Christopher McNamara is a Consultant Haematologist specialised in Haemato-oncology with special interests in lymphoma. He is based in London in the lymphoma service at University College London Hospital. He also sees private patients at the following London locations:

• King Edward VII's Hospital Sister Agnes
• Princess Grace Hospital
• Royal Free Hospital

Dr McNamara completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland, Australia in 1994. He completed his postgraduate training in Australia and France, later becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australia. He moved to the UK and was appointed as a Consultant at the Royal Free Hospital in London in 2004. He moved to University College London Hospital in 2015.

Dr McNamara is specialised in clinical haematology, particularly in lymphoma, and sees patients with the following conditions:

• Follicular lymphoma
• Large B-cell lymphoma
• Hodgkin lymphoma
• Marginal zone lymphoma
• Mantle cell lymphoma
• Abnormal blood counts

Alongside his work in clinical practice, Dr McNamara also has interests in clinical trials and the interface between the laboratory and lymphoma patients.
