Dr Samir Agrawal

Dr Samir Agrawal is a Consultant Haemato-Oncologist with more than 35 years of experience in the NHS, including over 22 years as a consultant. He sees private patients at Ichor Health and HCA Healthcare UK. He is also a Consultant Haemato-Oncologist at Barts Health NHS Trust, based at St Bartholomew's Hospital, and previously served as a Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London.

Dr Agrawal specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of blood cancers, including leukaemia and lymphoma. He has extensive expertise in stem cell transplantation and the prevention and management of infections in patients with cancer. He pioneered remote care for patients with blood cancers at St Bartholomew's Hospital and is an internationally recognised speaker on infection in oncology.

After qualifying in medicine at the University of Bristol, Dr Agrawal completed further specialist training at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust before undertaking a PhD in Immunology at the University of Paris, France. Alongside his clinical work, he has contributed to research and medical education throughout his career.

Dr Agrawal believes that patients and their loved ones should be at the centre of every treatment decision. Drawing on his extensive experience in both NHS and private practice, he takes a holistic approach to cancer care, supporting patients beyond their diagnosis by considering not only their treatment but also their overall health, wellbeing and individual goals.
