Dr Ashraf Azzabi

Dr Ashraf Azzabi is a consultant medical oncologist currently based at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle. He has also practices at Sunderland Royal Infirmary and at South Tyneside District General Hospital. His specialist interest is in the non-surgical treatments of colorectal and genitourinary cancers including Prostate, Urinary bladder, upper urinary tract, Kidney and germ cell cancers of testis.

Dr Azzabi attained his Primary Medical Diploma in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Tripoli, Libya in 1992. He attained his Doctor of Medicine at Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne in 2007. His many years of experience and education make him an expert in his field.

Dr Azzabi is actively involved in research; he is a principal investigator on many national and international clinical trials both in urological and colorectal cancers. He also currently leads the late phase cancer research team at the northern centre for cancer care.
