Dr Anthony Leahy

Dr. Anthony Leahy is a gastroenterologist with extensive qualifications and experience. He graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff in 1988 and subsequently relocated to London in 1990 to advance his training across various hospitals in North London.

Since 2001, Dr. Leahy has served as a consultant gastroenterologist at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Throughout his tenure, he has held pivotal roles within the gastroenterology department, including Clinical Lead, Governance Lead, and Training Lead. Currently, he also holds the position of Clinical Director for Cancer Services at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

Dr. Leahy's clinical practice at Spire Bushey Hospitals encompasses the comprehensive investigation and management of gastrointestinal disorders. His specialist interests include upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, hepatobiliary disease, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, bowel disease, liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
