Dr Adrian Franklin

Dr Adrian Franklin is an experienced Consultant Clinical Oncologist. He is highly specialised in the diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological cancers, as well as managing carcinoma of unknown primary, using cutting-edge brachytherapy techniques.

Currently, Dr Franklin works within St Luke's Cancer Centre, Guildford, and also sees patients privately at Mount Alvernia Hospital. His clinical interests extend beyond gynaecological cancers to include lung, breast, gastrointestinal, urological cancers and palliative care.

Dr Franklin’s medical training began at St Thomas’ and the Royal Marsden Hospitals in London. He further specialised through a fellowship at St Luke’s Cancer Centre in Guildford, focusing on gynaecological, prostate, and low rectal brachytherapy. His extensive training has equipped him with expertise in delivering advanced radiotherapy techniques, such as MR Linac, image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), and stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR).

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Franklin has an active research interest in gynaecological cancers and brachytherapy. He has published work on oncology topics and research on the self-shielding properties of radioactive waste.
