Dr Donna Lancaster

Dr Donna Lancaster is a Consultant Paediatric Oncologist who specialises in the treatment of children and teenagers with leukaemia and lymphoma. They qualified from the University of Sheffield and completed general paediatric training at Birmingham Childrens Hospital and Sheffield Childrens Hospital. This was followed by specialised paediatric oncology training at St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

They then undertook a clinical research fellowship at St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospital. This was funded by the Imperial Cancer Research Fund to investigate thiopurine metabolism and pharmacokinetics in children with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Following this, they undertook a clinical fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.

Their research interests are new agents for childhood leukaemia, and Dr Lancaster is the Principle Investigator for a number of Phase I/II studies in childhood leukaemia. They are a member of the Novel Agents Group for Childhood Cancer, Innovative Therapies for Childhood Cancer (ITCC) and Childhood Leukaemia Subgroup Committee.
