I would recommend Mr Akteurk to anyone needing the surgery he offers. His expertise, knowledge, skill and care are all outstanding. He has also assembled a superb team around him. My particular situation required him to go the extra mile and he and his colleagues did so with absolute dedication.

I was referred to Mr Dincer Aktuerk to talk about treatment options for a health problem which had developed in my heart. Mr. Aktuerk made me feel comfortable from the beginning of the appointment explaining the condition and the procedure required to resolve it. He talked through the details of the operation and how it would be carried out. He also highlighted the risks of the operation including what would be in place in the case of an unexpected happening. He answered all of my questions and concerns and outlined what to expect during the recovery period. Armed with all of this knowledge I was able to make an informed decision to go forward with the surgery soon after. Happily everything went according to plan and I met with Mr. Aktuerk 3 weeks later for a post operative assessment which seemed to be going as was expected. I am gradually recovering and happy that I made the decision to have the surgery. I'm really grateful for the great care I received from Mr. Aktuerk and his fantastic teaming am now moving towards being fit, well and healthy again.

If you are in your 30s and facing aortic valve surgery, you are likely looking at two main options: the Ross Procedure or a mechanical valve replacement. I spent a lot of time weighing up both. The Ross Procedure avoids the need for long-term blood thinners but is a more complex operation involving two valves. Post-Op Review: My follow-up scans showed the valve was perfectly seated and functioning well, and my surgical wound was completely closed and healed.
