Dr. Devi Subramanian

Dr. Devi Subramanian is a dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Foetal Medicine Specialist specialising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Committed to delivering safe, reassuring, and patient-centred care, she supports women through all stages of pregnancy, labour, and delivery. Dr. Subramanian focuses on high-risk obstetrics, intrapartum care, and complex surgical obstetrics, ensuring that each woman's personal preferences, values, and clinical requirements guide her maternity journey.

Dr. Subramanian completed her primary medical qualifications (MBBS) in 1994 before undertaking comprehensive specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London. She attained Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2002 and earned her Certificate of Completion of Training in 2008. In 2014, she was elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in recognition of her ongoing contribution to women's healthcare. She remains an active member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Throughout her clinical work, Dr. Subramanian has developed extensive expertise in managing complicated and high-risk pregnancies. Her special clinical interests include the management of placenta accreta spectrum, morbidly adherent placenta, placenta praevia, and venous thromboembolism prevention during pregnancy. Additionally, she offers specialist care for obesity in pregnancy, cervical cerclage, management of preterm birth risk, and complex intrapartum delivery care, including induction of labour and surgical birth options.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Subramanian is actively involved in clinical education, simulation training, and maternity safety initiatives. She contributes to regional quality improvement projects and clinical advisory roles, drawing on her advanced training in safety science to advocate for high standards of maternal and newborn care.
