Dr Dawn Storey

Dr Dawn Storey is a dedicated Consultant Medical Oncologist who specialises in the management and medical treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies, with a primary focus on lower gastrointestinal cancers, including colon, rectal, and anal cancers. She provides compassionate, patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals facing a cancer diagnosis receive comprehensive, evidence-based management tailored to their individual health needs.

Dr Storey earned her medical degree from the University of Nottingham in 1995. She subsequently completed her specialist training in Oncology in Edinburgh and was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the University of Edinburgh in 2008 for her research into cancer-related fatigue. Demonstrating a strong commitment to clinical research and multi-disciplinary advancement, she has served as an active member of several National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Clinical Studies Groups, contributing her expertise to panels focused on Colorectal Cancer, Supportive & Palliative Care, and Complementary Therapies.

Throughout her professional practice as a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Clinician Scientist, Dr Storey has maintained a strong focus on supportive care and enhancing quality of life for patients undergoing treatment. Her clinical repertoire includes systemic anti-cancer therapies such as chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy. Additionally, she has engaged in research examining chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and symptom management, working alongside wider clinical care teams to offer reassuring and holistic guidance to patients throughout their care pathway.
