Dr. David Hambrook

Dr David Hambrook is a Principal Clinical Psychologist and Director of Clinical Psychology at Bloomfield Health, bringing more than 15 years of experience across the UK National Health Service (NHS) and private practice. He holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) and has completed further postgraduate training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Behavioural Couple Therapy (BCT) and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT). He is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society, is fully accredited by the BABCP, and is an accredited DIT practitioner with the British Psychoanalytic Council.

Dr Hambrook specialises in working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, body image concerns and relationship difficulties, with a particular clinical interest in LGBTQ+ mental health. His approach is compassionate, collaborative and goal-focused, centred on helping individuals build confidence, develop psychological flexibility and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Alongside his private work, Dr Hambrook holds a senior leadership role at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, where he leads a large team of psychological therapists and oversees the delivery of high-quality psychological care. He is also involved in clinical education, providing supervision, supporting professional development and teaching trainees at both doctoral and post-doctoral levels.
