Dr David Blundell

Dr David Blundell is a highly dedicated Consultant Cardiologist who specialises in Paediatric Cardiology and congenital heart disease. With a patient-centred approach, he is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to young patients and individuals living with congenital heart conditions. His clinical practice focuses on diagnosing, managing, and treating a wide range of cardiac issues, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan designed to support their long-term cardiovascular health.

Throughout his clinical practice, Dr Blundell has developed a deep expertise in managing complex congenital heart diseases, such as Tetralogy of Fallot, as well as acute conditions like rheumatic fever. He is highly skilled in utilising advanced diagnostic techniques to assess cardiac function and structure in children and young adults. His reassuring manner and clear communication style help to put both patients and their families at ease during what can often be a stressful time, fostering a collaborative environment for ongoing medical care.

Dr Blundell obtained his primary medical qualification, a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), alongside a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons).
