Dr Dario Inzerillo is a consultant ophthalmologist based in Southampton. He has over 22 years of medical experience and over 17 years of experience as a consultant.
Dr Inzerillo has specialist interest in small incision sutureless cataract surgery and the management of macular degeneration. He provides expert care, backed by a considerable amount of experience in ophthalmology, which makes him a trusted choice for patients.
Dr Inzerillo has held many positions, including consultant-level positions, internationally and in the UK. He currently practices as at Spire Southampton Hospital. He is also the Lead for the Intravitreal Treatment Service, Lead for the Medical Retina Mobile Unit and the Clinical Governance in this hospital.

Dr Inzerillo received his medical degree from University Hospital of Palermo, Italy in 1999 and became specialised in ophthalmology in 2004. He is also a member of the British Medical Association.
Outside of the hospital, Dr Inzerillo launched a charity project in Mombasa, Kenya, in collaboration with the Department for International Development (DFID), Tropical Health & Education Trust (THET) and the VISION 2020 to improve standards of infection prevention and control.

I was very impressed and satisfied with the quality of service and outcome of my eye surgery by Mr inzerillo and staff I would highly recommend them to anyone

Having attempted to be seen under the NHS and failing I contacted my health insurance company which made an appointment for me to see Mr Inzerillo three days later. I asked him if I could receive the necessary treatment within the next six days because of a forthcoming holiday and he fitted me in three days later. The treatment was exactly as described with the result as expected. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Inzerillo for eye treatment.

I have known Mr Inzerillo for a long time as I regularly see him as a NHS patient for multifocal inner choroiditis. I required cataract surgery for my right eye as I am centrally blind in the other. I particularly chose Mr Inzerillo for his professional expertise. He always takes time to explain matters and is very kind and considerate.
