Dr Daniel Poon

Dr Daniel Poon is a Consultant Radiologist who specialises in diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal radiology. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred care, he provides imaging assessments and targeted image-guided procedures to assist in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of bone, joint, and soft tissue conditions.

Dr Poon earned an undergraduate degree in Genetics before completing his medical degree at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, where he graduated with distinction in clinical science. He subsequently completed general and musculoskeletal radiology training across major London teaching hospitals, alongside specialist training at a leading orthopaedic centre. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and a member of the British Society of Skeletal Radiology.

In his clinical practice, Dr Poon offers diagnostic imaging alongside a comprehensive selection of image-guided therapeutic procedures. His work focuses on musculoskeletal ultrasound and targeted interventions to help relieve pain and improve joint function. These treatments include ultrasound-guided joint, cyst, and bursa injections, shoulder hydrodistension, lumbar nerve root blocks, medial branch blocks, and fluid aspirations. Dr Poon focuses on delivering reassuring, accurate care to help guide patients through their diagnostic and treatment pathway.
