About Dr Daniel Jones
Dr Daniel Jones is a Reader in Cardiovascular Clinical Trials at Barts Cardiovascular Clinical Trials Unit (CVCTU) and an Interventional Cardiologist at Barts Heart Centre. He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Cardiology and General Internal Medicine.
Dr Jones graduated in Medicine (MBBS) from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 2004, having also completed an intercalated BSc in Basic Medical Science. He went on to complete a PhD at Queen Mary University of London in 2015, funded by an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship, investigating the role of nitrite in the management of myocardial infarction. He has also completed an MSc in Clinical Trial Design.

His clinical interests include the treatment of coronary artery disease, specialising in complex and calcified coronary intervention, valve disease, and chest pain syndromes with normal coronary arteries. Dr Jones has published extensively in leading cardiology journals and presented at major international conferences. He is also actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, training the next generation of cardiologists.
