Mr Daniel Gheorghiu

Mr Daniel Gheorghiu is an accomplished Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in upper limb disorders, joint conditions, and musculoskeletal trauma. With broad expertise encompassing shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist conditions, he provides thorough clinical evaluations and tailored treatment plans designed to restore mobility, relieve pain, and enhance quality of life. His patient-focused approach integrates advanced surgical techniques alongside non-operative therapies to deliver safe, effective, and reassuring care.

Mr Gheorghiu earned his primary medical qualification (MBChB) in 2005 before completing specialist higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery on the Merseyside rotation. He further refined his clinical expertise with focused training in paediatric orthopaedic surgery and completed prestigious upper limb, shoulder, and elbow fellowships in England and Melbourne, Australia. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS Tr+Orth) in 2014. Active in medical education, he serves as a Tutor at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and regularly teaches on training courses for healthcare professionals. He maintains professional memberships with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the British Orthopaedic Association, and the British Elbow and Shoulder Society.

In his clinical practice, Mr Gheorghiu diagnoses and manages a comprehensive range of upper limb pathologies and sports injuries. His clinical interests include frozen shoulder, shoulder impingement, rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, tennis and golfer's elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's disease, trigger finger, and osteoarthritis of the shoulder, hand, and wrist. He performs advanced procedures including shoulder arthroscopy, subacromial decompression, rotator cuff repair, joint replacements, and peripheral nerve release.
