Mr Daniel Cadoux-Hudson is a highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Hand and Wrist Surgeon who specialises exclusively in the assessment, management, and surgical treatment of conditions affecting the hand, wrist, and upper limb. His clinical practice encompasses a comprehensive range of elective procedures, complex trauma care, and the management of degenerative conditions. Reassuring and patient-focused, Mr Cadoux-Hudson works closely with a multidisciplinary team, including specialist hand therapists, radiologists, and pain specialists, to deliver personalised, evidence-based care designed to restore function and enable a safe return to daily activities, work, and sport.
With advanced training in cutting-edge orthopaedic techniques, Mr Cadoux-Hudson offers expert treatment for common and complex upper limb issues. His areas of clinical interest include peripheral nerve compressive neuropathies such as carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome, as well as trigger finger and Dupuytren's contracture. He is highly experienced in performing trapeziectomy surgery, carpal tunnel release, and trigger finger release. Furthermore, he is trained in innovative procedures such as thumb base replacement, finger joint replacement for arthritis, and wrist arthroscopy, alongside managing complex wrist instability and fractures.
Mr Cadoux-Hudson qualified in medicine from a prestigious university in London in 2012, graduating with a Distinction in Medicine, having also completed an intercalated Bachelor of Science in Surgery and Anaesthesia. He completed his Core Surgical Training and Higher Specialist Training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery on the Wessex rotation, obtaining his Certificate of Completion of Training. To further refine his expertise, he completed a prestigious post-CCT fellowship at a leading hand unit in Birmingham and was awarded the British Diploma in Hand Surgery in 2025. He holds an MBBS, BSc (Hons), MRCS (Eng), and FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery), and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Cadoux-Hudson is dedicated to medical education and research. He has held an Orthopaedic Research UK Fellowship and has undertaken doctoral research at a leading UK university. His academic contributions include numerous publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and chapters in hand surgery textbooks.
