Dr Cora Doherty is a highly experienced Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician who provides specialised medical care for newborns, infants, and young children. With a dedication to delivering compassionate and reassuring clinical care, she supports young patients and their families through every step of their healthcare journey. Dr Doherty works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that infants receive the highest standard of treatment from their earliest days of life.

In her clinical practice, Dr Doherty has developed significant expertise in neonatal intensive care and foetal medicine. Her specific clinical interests include the management of intra-uterine growth restriction, complex neonatal conditions, and patient safety protocols designed to standardise and improve clinical care. She is also deeply committed to supporting mothers and families with lactation guidance and compassionate post-natal care, ensuring a holistic approach to newborn health.

Dr Doherty completed her primary medical qualifications (MB BCh BAO) before undertaking postgraduate research to earn her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. She holds a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) and has attained prestigious professional memberships and fellowships, being elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (FRCPI).
