Dr Colin Dunkley

Dr Colin Dunkley is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician specialising in general paediatrics, childhood epilepsy, and neurodisability. With a supportive and patient-centred approach, he provides comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and young people. Dr Dunkley is committed to ensuring that families receive clear, reassuring guidance and high-quality, evidence-based care throughout diagnosis, treatment, and long-term condition management.

Dr Dunkley completed his undergraduate medical training, obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) alongside a Bachelor of Science (BSc). He went on to undertake extensive postgraduate specialist training in paediatrics across Leeds and Nottinghamshire, culminating in a dedicated specialist fellowship in paediatric epilepsy in 2004. He is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and maintains active professional engagement with leading organisations, including the British Paediatric Neurology Association.

Alongside his routine clinical work, Dr Dunkley serves as a national Clinical Lead for paediatric epilepsy quality improvement initiatives, helping to advance care standards and clinical outcomes for young patients nationwide. His clinical practice focuses on the evaluation and management of seizure disorders, complex neurodisabilities, and a wide range of general acute and chronic childhood illnesses. He also advocates for the integration of modern digital healthcare tools to enhance communication and streamline ongoing care management for children and their families.
